Anonymus 594 complained of an injustice to the emperor Leo V (Leo 15); his wife (Anonyma 77) had suffered frequent sexual abuse from a member of the synkletos (Anonymus 231) and the eparch (Anonymus 184) had refused to take action; as a result of Anonymus 594's complaint the eparch Anonymus 184 was dismissed and the synkletikos Anonymus 231 was punished for his misconduct: Theoph. Cont. I 19 (p. 31); Genesius I 16; Zon. XV 20. 20. The anecdote is told as an example of the emperor Leo 15's concern for justice.
