Anonymus 184 was an unnamed eparch in the reign of Leo V (Leo 15) (813-820); he was dismissed and punished by the emperor after he failed to investigate the alleged rape of Anonyma 77 by a member of the synkletos, Anonymus 231: Theoph. Cont. I 19 (p. 31), Zon. XV 20. 19-20 (τῷ ἐπάρχῳ), Genesius I 16 (ὁ ἔπαρχος). He was city-prefect of Constantinople. The story is an anecdote illustrating Leo 15's concern for justice.
