Anonymus 231 was a member of the senate (παρὰ τοῦ τῶν τῆς συγκλήτου) accused of raping the wife (Anonyma 77) of Anonymus 594; protected by the eparch Anonymus 184 at first, Anonymus 231 was later punished by the emperor Leo V (Leo 15): Theoph. Cont. I 19 (p. 31), Zon. XV 20. 20, Genesius I 16 (one of the anecdotes illustrating the emperor's attention to justice). See Anonyma 77 and Anonymus 594.
