Zotios 1 was bishop of Baretta in Asiana; in 692 he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Mansi XI 993 (Ζώτιος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος Βαρέτων τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας). The name Zotios in Mansi is a misspelling; see Zotikos 1.
