Tarasios 6 was a patrikios and was the father of Enkrateia 1 and the grandfather of the patriarch Tarasios 1 (Tarasios 1 was κατὰ δὲ τὴν μητέρα ἐγγονὸς Ταρασίου πατρικίου): Catal. Patr., pp. 290-291, cf. Ignatius, Vita Tarasii 4 (Tarasios 1 was descended from patrikioi).
