In 787 Marianos 6 represented the see of Zalichos, also called Leontopolis, in Helenopontus at the first session of the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council) on 24 September 787; in the list of those present at the session he is styled Μαριανοῦ τοποτηρητοῦ Ζαλίχου: Mansi XII 998. He is not mentioned again. At the second and fourth sessions, the see was represented by Andronikos 2 and at the seventh by the bishop Konstantinos 48. Presumably a priest, deacon or monk. He probably represented Ioannes 107.
