Lupus 2 was bishop of Teate (in Samnium) ("Lupus, episcopus ecclesiae Teatine"); in 844 he was one of the Italian bishops who attended the Council of Rome with Drogo 1; they had not been summoned by their metropolitans but went because they had complaints against pope Sergius II (Sergios 60): Lib. Pont. 104. 14.
