Anonymus 761 was a logothete (τοῦ πανυπερόχου λογοθέτου) to whom Ignatius the Deacon (Ignatios 9) looked for help to relieve his poverty; Ignatios 9 wrote a letter of reproach to Konstantinos 296 who had promised to draw the logothetes's attention to Ignatios 9's plight and then failed to do so: Ignatius Diac., Ep. 39.
