Anonymus 694 was the bishop of Chios; he had lapsed during the iconoclast persecution under Leo V (Leo 15) and later resigned from his see; the monk Makarios 10 wrote about him to Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) and Theodoros 15 wrote a letter in reply to Makarios 10, some time between 821 and 826: Theod. Stud., Ep. 517.
