Anonyma 76 was the younger daughter of the protonotarios Hesychios 3 and sister of Anonyma 75; when her sister preferred to marry rather than enter a monastery in fulfilment of a vow taken by their father, Hesychios considered sending the younger sister into a monastery instead; however, he consulted Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15) and was urged not to change his original intention: Theod. Stud., Ep. 500, pp. 738-740. The letter was written between 821 and 826.
