Ago 1 was a Lombard dux of Friuli (Forum Iulii); he succeeded Grasulf 1 as dux some time in the mid seventh century: Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. IV 50 ("Foroiulensem ducatum Ago regendum suscepit"), V 17 ("successor ei (sc. Grasulfo) in ducato Ago datus"). At his death he was succeeded by Lupus 1; a domus at Friuli (Foroiuli) was still known as the domus Agonis in Paul the Deacon's time (late eighth century): Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. V 17.
