Zoetos 1 was bishop of Dios Hieron, i.e. Christoupolis, in Asia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at the last eight sessions (sessions eleven to eighteen, from 20 March to 16 September 681): Riedinger, pp. 404-826 (= Mansi XI 457-674). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, he is styled Ζωϊτὸς ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος Χριστουπόλεως ἤτοι Διὸς ἱερὸν τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger, p. 786, line 27 (= Mansi XI 648). In the old Latin version printed in Riedinger his see is called "
