Thomas 57 was a basilikos protospatharios and tourmarches of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2558. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. The name and titles apparently read: Zacos and Veglery note that, quite unusually, the first letter of the name, probably Θ, is followed on the seal by a mark of abbreviation.
