Thomas 49 was a kommerkiarios of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable between 787 and 797: Zacos and Veglery 277. The name and title read: Θωμᾷ κομερκιαρίῳ Θεσσαλονίκης. The seal is iconic and from the reign of Constantine VI.
