Theophilos 45 was a basilikos strator; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2524. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Θεω - φιλω β' - [σ]τρατω - ρει+. The name and title read: +Θεοφίλῳ βασιλικῷ στράτωρι. The beta is in the form of a Roman capital "R", indicating a date not before the first half of the ninth century.
