Theophilos 29 was the father of the hypatos Kosmas (Kosmas 39); he is named on his son's seal, but only the first letters of his name survive (Theoph...); the names Theophanes and Theophylaktos are equally possible readings: Zacos and Veglery 3131. The names and titles read: Κοσμᾷ ὑπάτῳ, υἱῷ Θεοφ.... The seal is dateable to the eighth century.
