Theophano 3 was a nun in the women's monastery of Trikhinareai on Mt Auxentius; she was sent by the abbess (Anonyma 27) to accompany Anna 6 when the latter was summoned to appear before the emperor Constantine V (Konstantinos 7) to answer charges (καὶ σὺν αὐτῇ ἑτέραν ὀνόματι Θεοφανώ): Vita Steph. Iun. 133, 24-25 (1128D-1129A). She was later separated from Anna 6 and then sent back to the convent, where she reported what had happened to Anna 6: Vita Steph. Iun. 135, 1-2 (1129C).
