Theophanes 25 was a patrikios and basilikos protospatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 7, 502. The name and titles read: Θεοφάνει πατρικίῳ καὶ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ. Laurent identified the owner with the owner of the seal at Laurent, Vat. 59.
