Theoktistos 16 was bishop of Chonai and possibly exarch; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2495A. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with [τ]ω - σω - [δου] - λω in the corners. Rev.: Θεοκ... - τω επι... - Χωνω[ν.] - εξ.... The name and titles perhaps read: Θεοκτίστῳ ἐπισκόπῳ Χώνων καὶ ἐξάρχῳ (?of the monasteries). Chonai was in Phrygia.
