Theodoulos 5 was a priest (ἑτέρῳ πρεσβυτέρῳ, Θεοδούλῳ τοὔνομα) (and probably monk), he visited St Gregory the Decapolite (Gregorios 79) at Thessalonike and was warned to return to his hegoumenos and prepare for death; he died shortly afterwards: Ignatius, Vita Greg. Dec. 15. Since he was under an hegoumenos, not a bishop, he was evidently a monk who had been consecrated a priest but remained a monk.
