Theodosios 42 was bishop of Tibur; present at the Council of Rome in 769: Lib. Pont. 96. 17 ("Teodosius, episcopus civitate Tibortine"). He is named nineteenth in the list of bishops from Italy. After the Council he was one of the three bishops (see Gregorios 75 and Eustratios 11) who pronounced in St Peter's the anathema against any one who transgressed the decisions of the Council: Lib. Pont. 96. 24 ("Teodosius Tibur"). Later, when the Lombard king, Desiderius (Desiderios 3), was marching on Rome, pope Hadrian I (Hadrianos 1) drew up an anathema and sent bishop Theodosius of Tibur ("Theodosium Tiburtinae civitatis, sc. episcopum") with bishops Andreas of Praeneste and Eustratius of Albanum (Andreas 31 and Eustratios 11) to warn Desiderius never to enter Roman territory without the permission of the pope for fear of the anathema; the king withdrew: Lib. Pont. 97. 25.
