Theodoros 231 was a basilikos spatharios and protonotarios of the Anatolikoi; owner of two similar seals dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 312a and b. Obv.: (312a) cross potent on steps, with the legend ....οειθη τω σω δου...; (312b) cross potent on base and four steps, with the legend ...βοειθη τω δουλ(ωι). Rev.: (312a, and also, with some letters lost, 312b) Θεοδω - ρο β' σπαθα - ριω (και) α' νοταρ' - των ανατο - ληκων, with tendrils. The name and titles read: Θεοδώρῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ τῶν Ἀνατολικῶν.
