Theodoros 111 was a servant of Antonios the younger (Antonios 12) when the latter was ek prosopou of the Kibyrrhaiotai; he became a monk at the same time as Antonios 12, taking the name of Sabas: Vita Anton. Iun. (BHG 142) 22. He accompanied Anatonios 12 through Anatolia via Amorion to Nikaia where they lived as recluses for nine months; Antonios 12 then left on his own: Vita Anton. Iun. (BHG 142) 25-27. Some years later Theodoros 111 (Sabas by his name in religion) rejoined him when Antonios 12 went to live at Briles: Vita Anton. Iun. (BHG 142) 39-40.
