Theodoros 42 was bishop of Amorion (in Galatia Salutaris); in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 692-826 (= Mansi XI 616-676). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council he is styled Θεόδωρος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος (Riedinger, p. 826, line 34 (= Mansi XI 676) adds: πόλεως) τοῦ Ἀμορίου: Riedinger, p. 792, line 27, p. 826, line 34 (= Mansi XI 652, 676). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Θεοδώρου ἐπισκόπου τοῦ Ἀμορίου: Riedinger, p. 692, line 3, p. 762, line 13 (= Mansi XI 616, 629). Still bishop in 692, he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 161, no. 150 (= Mansi XI 1000) (Θεόδωρος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Ἀμορίου τῆς δευτέρας τῶν Γαλατῶν ἐπαρχίας).
