Theodoros 39 was bishop of Mastaura in Asiana; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 688-826 (= Mansi XI 613-676). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Θεόδωρος ἐλέῳ Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Μασταυρηνῶν πόλεως τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας (so Riedinger, p. 788, line 1 (= Mansi XI 648); Riedinger, p. 826, line 11 (= Mansi XI 676) reads Μασταύρων ἐπαρχίας Ἀσίας): Riedinger, p. 788, line 1, p. 826, line 11 (= Mansi XI 648, 676).
