Theodoros 37 was bishop of Pompeioupolis in Paphlagonia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 686-824 (= Mansi XI 613-674). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Θεόδωρος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος Πομπηϊουπόλεως (so Riedinger, p. 784, line 22 (= Mansi XI 645); Riedinger, p. 824, lines 34-35 (= Mansi XI 673) reads: τῆς Πομπηϊουπολιτῶν πόλεως) τῆς Παφλαγόνων ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger, p. 784, line 22, p. 824, lines 34-35, cf. p. 893, line 22 (= Mansi XI 645, 673, cf. 693).
