Stephanos 158 was a protospatharios; he was the son of Valentinus 8 (ὁ πατὴρ τοῦ πρωτοσπαθαρίου Στεφάνου); his father was among those who migrated from Epidauros to Ragusa in the mid seventh century: Const. Porph., DAI 29, 233ff.
