Stephanos 156 was named in a list of bishops, possibly archbishops of Ainos, in the Synodikon of Orthodoxy: Gouillard, "Synodikon", p. 102, II, and see commentary, pp. 269-270. His successor was called Ioannes, possibly the archbishop of Ainos attested in 879/880 (PBE II), though this is conjectural.
