Stephanos 132 was an anagnostes; with his (unnamed) companions he was the addressee of a letter from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) written between 809 and 811; he and his companions took a more extreme position towards simoniacs and heretics than did Theodoros 15, and he had written about the subject to Theodoros 15; he is styled τῆς θεοζήλου ἀγάπης σου (p. 155, line 2): Theod. Stud., Ep. 53, pp. 155-159 (addressed Στεφάνῳ ἀναγνώστῃ καὶ τοῖς σὺν αὐτῷ).
