Solomon 2 was deacon and notarios of the patriarch of Constantinople: Riedinger, p. 24, line 32, p. 286, line 21 (= Mansi XI 216, 392)\n (Σολομὼν ὁ θεοσεβέστατος διάκονος καὶ νοτάριος τοῦ ἁγιωτάτου πατριάρχου Κωνσταντινουπόλεως or similar). At the first session of the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) (on 7 November 680) he read out the whole of the second volume of the First Council of Ephesus (the Third Ecumenical Council): Riedinger, p. 24 (= Mansi XI 216). At the tenth session (on 18 March 681) he read out the dossier of citations from the Fathers produced by the representatives from Rome: Riedinger, pp. 286ff. (= Mansi XI 392ff.).
