Sissinios 86 was the brother of Tarasios 1 and the son of Georgios 122 and Enkrateia 1: Catal. Patr., p. 291, 1-4. Brother of the patriarch Tarasios (Tarasios 1); he was taken prisoner in Italy by the Franks and was allowed to return home in 798, accompanying the Byzantine envoys Michael 139 and Theophilos 55: Annales Regni Francorum s.a. 798 (p. 104), Annales Einhard., p. 105.
