Prokopios 9 was bishop of Korone; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Laurent, Corpus V 1, no. 646. Obv.: Virgin holding Child, between the invocative monograms for Θεοτόκε and βοήθει. Rev.: +Προκ - [ο]πιω επ - ισκοπ(ῳ) - Κορόν(ης). From seals of similar style Laurent dated the piece to the second half of the ninth century, referring to Likhachev, IZIGI, p. 68.
