Platon 23 is mentioned in a letter written by Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) to Ioannes 451 between 821 and 826; in a conversation with Theodoros 15 about icons Platon 23 mentioned that Ioannes 451 had received Theodoros 15's letter on the subject but entertained doubts about the views expressed in it; he is alluded to as Πλάτων ὁ ἡμέτερος: Theod. Stud., Ep. 528, pp. 788, 3. Possibly a Stoudite monk, and an iconophile.
