With Petronas 1 and Kyprianos 1, Phloros 1 commanded a Roman army (ἐχόντων δύναμιν Ῥωμαϊκήν) which defeated an Arab army under Sufyan 1: Theoph. AM 6165, cf. Mich. Syr. II 455 (three unnamed patricians). The date is uncertain, probably 673/678; see Sufyan 1.
