Petros 141 was abbot of the monastery of Nonantola (near Modena); in spring 813 he and the bishop Amalarios 1 were sent to Constantinople by Charlemagne (Karoulos 1) in order to ratify the peace with the emperor Michael I (Michael 7): Annales Regni Francorum s.a. 813. They arrived after Michael 7 had been succeeded by Leo V (Leo 15); Leo 15 received them and sent them back with his own envoys (Christophoros 56 and Gregorios 155) with the agreed text of an alliance; on their return they found that Karoulos 1 had died and been succeeded by Louis the Pious (Lodoïchos 2): Annales Regni Francorum s.a. 814.
