Pantaleon 8 was hypatos; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Laurent, Orghidan 88. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Rev.: + Παν - τωλεο - ντι υπα - τω+. Probably identical with Pantoleon hypatos, owner of a similar seal of the same date: Zacos and Veglery 1570. The name and title read: Παντολέοντι ὑπάτῳ.
