Nikolaos 83 is included among the confessors and archbishops acclaimed for their support of icons in the Synodikon of Orthodoxy: Gouillard, "Synodikon", p. 53, line 125. His see is not known; he could be identical with either Nikolaos 62 or Nikolaos 63 (both known from seals).
