Nikolaos 73 was chartoularios; addressee of a letter from Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15) written in c. 808/809 and thanking him for acting as mediator between Theodoros 15 and the patriarch Nikephoros (Nikephoros 2) in the affair concerning the oikonomos Ioseph 2; he is styled τὴν μεγάλην σου εὐσέβειαν (p. 89, line 2) and addressed as παμπόθητε ἡμῶν δέσποτα (p. 89, line 3): Theod. Stud., Ep. 32, pp. 89-91 (addressed Νικολάῳ χαρτουλαρίῳ).
