Nikephoros 64 was basilikos kommerkiarios of Thessalonike and Nikopolis (and possibly of a third city also, see below); owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2221 A. The name and title read: Νικηφόρῳ βασιλικῷ κουμερκιαρίῳ Θεσσαλονίκης, Νικοπόλεως .... According to Zacos and Veglery, there was room for the name of a third city after Νικοπόλεως.
