Nikephoros 58 was kommerkiarios of Parthenion (in North West Asia Minor); owner of two seals dateable to the eighth or ninth century (DOSeals), possibly the ninth (Zacos and Veglery): DOSeals III 14.2 = Zacos and Veglery 1559a and b. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Rev.: Νικη - φορο κομ - ερκη' το - υ Παρθ'. The name and title read: Νικηφόρο κομερκηαρίῳ τοῦ Παρθενίου. The last word could be understood as Παρθένου, alluding to St John Theologos and to Ephesos; see Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DO Seals III, note, p. 30.
