Mu`awiya 5 (Mu`awiya ibn Hudaij al-Kindi) was the first to invade Sicily, in the days of Mu`awiya 1: Baladhuri, tr. Hitti, p. 375. He was governor of Egypt under Mu`awiya 1 until replaced by Maslama 2 in 670/671: Tabari XVIII, pp. 102-103.
