Michael 83 was a monk, priest, kouboukleisios and oikonomos of the Great Church; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 848. Obv.: bust of Virgin holding Child; circular inscription reading: +Θ(εοτό)κε βοήθει....δουλ'. Rev.: +Μιχαη - λ μοναχ' πρ - εσβ' κουβ' (και) - οικονομ' τη - ς μεγαλ' εκ - κλης. The name and titles read: Μιχαὴλ μοναχῷ πρεσβυτέρῳ κουβουκλεισίῳ καὶ οἰκονόμῳ τῆς Μεγάλης Ἐκκλησίας.
