Michael 52 was a member of the senate (Μιχαὴλ δέ τις, καὶ αὐτὸς τῶν συγκλητικῶν) ; he only had daughters and wanted a son, so he asked Evarestos 1 (St Evarestos) to help, promising gifts if his wish were granted; when a son was born to him, he fulfilled his promise and praised Evarestos as a miracle worker: Vita S. Evaristi 33 (p. 317).
