Methodios 3 was perhaps a bishop of Tarsos; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 276, no. 1 (facsimile). Obv. : bust of St Paul with the legends Παῦλος and Ταρσοῦ. Rev.: cruciform monogram (incomplete) with the letters Μ, Η, Θ, Δ and Ω, possibly giving the name Μηθωδ[ίου].
