Marinos 3 was bishop of Philomelion in Pisidia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger II 2. 692-828 (= Mansi XI 616-680). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council he is styled Μαρῖνος ἐλάχιστος (so Riedinger II 2. 794, line 9 (= Mansi XI 652); Riedinger II 2. 828, line 12 (= Mansi XI 680) reads: ἐλέει Θεοῦ) ἐπίσκοπος τοῦ Φιλομηλίου: Riedinger II 2. 794, line 9, 828, line 12 (= Mansi XI 652, 680). In the lists of those present at each session he is styled Μαρίνου ἐπισκόπου τοῦ Φιλομηλίου: Riedinger II 2. 692, line 15, 762, line 26 (= Mansi XI 616, 629). Still bishop in 692, he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 167, no. 200 (= Mansi XI 1004) (Μαρῖνος ἐλάχιστος ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως τοῦ Φιλομηλίου τῆς Πισίδων ἐπαρχίας).
