Leo 262 was a asekretis; brother of Galaton 2; addressee with his brother of three letters from the patriarch Photius (Photios 1): Photius, Ep. 106 (I 146 Laourdas-Westerink; a. 859/September 867; addressed Λέοντι καὶ Γαλάτωνι ἀδελφοῖς καὶ ἀσηκρῆτις), Ep. 219 (II 127ff. Laourdas-Westerink; date?), Ep. 232 (II 148f. Laourdas-Westerink; a. 872/874?) (both addressed Λέοντι καὶ Γαλάτωνι ἀδελφοῖς ἀσηκρῆτις). The titles and dates of the letters suggest that he was a asekretis from at least 867 to 872. Possibly identical with Leo 24 and/or Leo 165.
