Leo 216 was basilikos kommerkiarios of Sinope of the Euxeinos Pontos; owner of a seal dated to an eleventh indiction, which the editors identify as either 832/833 or 847/848; there is no imperial portrait: Zacos and Veglery 2894. The name and title read: Λέων βασιλικὸς κουμερκιάριος Σινώπης τοῦ Εὐξείνου Πόντου.
