Leo 80 was hypatos and dioiketes of Thrace; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: DOSeals I 71.5 = Zacos and Veglery 2114. Obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Λέων ὕπατ(ος) (καὶ) διοικ(ητὴς) ΘραΙκ(ης). The dioiketes of Thrace was a collector of taxes; see DOSeals I, p. 156, note (referring to the Life of St Maria the Younger, AASS Nov. IV (1925), 693).
