Konstantinos 268 was a layman, possibly a lay brother, who supported the veneration of icons; he was the addressee of a letter from Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15), written between 815 and 818, thanking him for giving shelter to Stoudite monks during the persecution under Leo V (Leo 15): Theod. Stud., Ep. 300, pp. 438-439 (addressed Κωνσταντίνῳ λαϊκῷ).
