Konstantinos 262 was a spatharios and the addressee of a letter from the patriarch Photius (Photios 1), written between 859 and September 867; he is described as belonging to the genos of the Tyrrhenoi and criticised for his conduct; he was then living in Constantinople but is warned by Photios 1 to avoid the evil customs of the Tyrrhenoi: Photius, Ep. 81 (I 122 Laourdas-Westerink; addressed Κωνσταντίνῳ σπαθαρίῳ, γένους ὄντι Τυρρηνῶν καὶ δυστροπευομένῳ). Photios 1's language suggests that Konstantinos 262 was a native of Italy, possibly from Etruria. Cf. Konstantinos 156.
